Arts

The importance of the arts cannot be denied. They help children develop communication and language skills, stimulate creativity and improve self-esteem. The arts also expose children to exciting topics like history, geography, math, science and technology that they might not otherwise come into contact with.

Children learn by observing and making associations. Emotional development through which children learn to process their feelings, can also be influenced by their culture. Theatre for instance is an art form through which a child can enrich his or her general culture and, moreover, engage creatively in the play of interpreting a fictional world.

VSAL is developing a comprehensive programme of art and multi-cultural experiences which will, in direct association to the V+ English programme, also focus on English-oriented theatre and excursions.

Theatre Activities

Alongside the VSAL Enhanced English programme, VSAL is developing a range of theatre activities that will offer students a dynamic and engaging way to develop their linguistic skills through English-speaking productions.

Through an interactive and creative approach, students will not only improve their fluency in English, but also develop essential skills such as public speaking, teamwork, and storytelling. Whether acting in classic or contemporary plays, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the English language and literature, making learning both enjoyable and impactful.

Excursions and Trips

Over the course of time, VSAL will offer English-oriented excursions and educational trips designed to immerse students in real-world English language experiences.

Each trip will be carefully selected to complement the enhanced English curriculum, reinforcing classroom learning through interactive situations. These excursions will not only enhance linguistic proficiency but also broaden students’ cultural perspectives.
